School Information

Welcome to Little Mountain Elementary

Little Mountain Elementary School is a dynamic and energetic place to work, learn and play. Our staff are student-focused, educational leaders, who challenge themselves to provide a learning environment where each child has the opportunity to think, to learn, to seek answers, and to strive for excellence.

Visit our website often to read our latest Newsletter, find out more about the School Programs we have to offer and the Extra-Curricular Activities happening at our school. You may also want to check the Calendar for up to date news and events, or find relevant Parent and Student information useful to your child.

The Mission

As a school community, Little Mountain Elementary School will develop students who are Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn.

The Expectations

At Little Mountain Elementary School, we work hard to maintain a safe, secure and productive learning environment for all students. A student's right to learn and a teacher's right to teach are defended and protected. Students are expected to demonstrate by their actions an understanding of appropriate behaviour both inside and outside of the classroom environment.

At Little Mountain Elementary School, every student has the Right to Learn; every student has the Right to be Safe; every student has the Right to be Respected. Along with these rights, every student has a Responsibility to be Respectful to Others and a Responsibility to use Common Sense at all times.

At Little Mountain Elementary School, SUCCESS IS EVERYONE'S GOAL EVERY DAY!

The Belief

"No one can whistle a symphony. It takes an orchestra to play it."  H.E. Luccock

School Communication

Our school website has a great deal of information on it and we are working at keeping it regularly updated. Please check it out at http://littlemountain.sd33.bc.ca/. Newsletters will be written monthly and emailed out to parents.  All newsletters will also be posted on our school website.  I will write a weekly Friday email to inform parents of upcoming events at the school each week.
